A Staircase, Two New Bedrooms and a Bathroom

A change of pitch brings space and harmony
How do you create two bedrooms and a bathroom in a bungalow with a very small loft? We solved the problem by stripping the roof and removing all of the original timbers. We then rebuilt the roof, re-pitching at a steeper angle. This created a lot more internal space.

We incorporated a small dormer window to provide natural light in the new staircase area before relaying the roof tiles. A smart layer of tiles on each of the new gable ends completed the look of the new roof.

A new staircase was built along with the stud work to create two new bedrooms, a nice landing area and a new bathroom. The new rooms were then finished to a high level, completing the project.
